DirectConnect® was born from a request for a patch cable without a strain relief. Years ago all interconnects were molded plastic with a large molded strain relief at each end. When domestic suppliers were asked to modify the cables, their response was, “We know what the customer wants, sell what we have.” After exhausting all our suppliers, DirectConnect® began having its own products manufactured to our specifications.

The result was a cable that no longer snagged the back of cabinet shelves when equipment was pulled for service. Cables could now be separated for individual audio and video use without the cable being damaged.

This modified interconnect was followed by an entire product line of installer friendly products and ideas from connector and hardware bags that are re-sealable for secure storage to cable ties in 1000 packs for value pricing with inner packs of re-sealable 100’s. Many products have patented designs such as the original “Nose” bulk wire plate and now the ultimate removable “Nose’ plate family. Today more than 10 patents and patent pending protected products are readily available to make your installations more profitable.

DirectConnect® has been a leader in value and quality since 1996. Each product has its own series of quality control inspections both pre-production and post-production. This process has given DirectConnect® improvements that lead to a 15 year warranty on all passive products and 2-5 years on electronic active products.
